Thank You Memphis
I want to take a moment to thank the Memphis lacrosse community for all the love and support. We’ve been to six games around the city, and the response has been incredible. K has had a blast tracking stats and giving out the Player of the Game shirts—definitely her favorite part! She was so excited when the girls cheered during the Briarcrest vs. St. Mary’s Player of the Game, and the excitement at the next two games made it even better. It’s been such an amazing experience, and we plan to keep it going and continue supporting the growth of girls lacrosse in the Bluff City any way we can.
Down to Business.
Where We’ve Been This Week
Briarcrest Christian School vs. St. Mary’s Episcopal School
FEAR THE BIRD - St. Mary’s Overwhelms Briarcrest in Long-Awaited Matchup
On Tuesday evening we headed to Eads to watch Briarcrest take on St. Marys. The Turkeys came out firing on all cylinders, setting the tone early with a commanding 5–1 lead after the first quarter. From that point on, it was all St. Mary’s as they shut down the Saints’ offense.
St. Mary’s success was contributed to a stifling defensive performance. The Turkeys allowed just one goal all game, swarming the ball and applying constant pressure that left Briarcrest struggling to establish any rhythm on offense. Every possession was a battle, and more often than not, St. Mary’s came out on top.
One of the biggest storylines of the night from our perspective was the battle for ground balls. I’m not completely sure what the plus minus was but anytime the ball hit the turf, a St. Mary’s player seemed to be there first. This relentless hustle gave them control and limited Briarcrest’s opportunities to find any offensive footing.
St. Mary’s balanced attack and lockdown defense never let up, and their dominance was reflected in the final scoreline. With this win, the Turkeys continue to prove they’re a force no matter where they play.

Houston High School vs. Hutchison School
Sting Buzz Past Mustangs in a 12-5 win on the road
Wednesday evening we made our way to Johnson River Park where the Sting wasted no time asserting control, jumping out to a 5–1 lead by the end of the first quarter. Their aggressive offense set the tone early, capitalizing on key turnovers and pushing the pace in transition.
Houston responded in the second quarter, tightening up defensively and finding some rhythm on attack. The Mustangs managed to close the gap slightly, heading into halftime trailing 8–4 and building momentum for a potential second-half push.
But after the break, Hutchison's defense clamped down. The Sting held Houston to just one goal in the second half while their offense found a steady rhythm, adding four more goals to cruise to victory.
Hutchison’s cohesive team play and lockdown defense proved too much for the Mustangs, who couldn’t regain the momentum in the second half.
The win adds to an impressive season for the Sting, who continue to show why they’re one of the area’s top teams.

White Station High School vs. Arlington High School
White Station Overpowers Arlington in Dominant Road Win
Wrapping up the week on Thursday we watched White Station deliver a commanding performance. From the opening whistle, the Spartans came out firing. They jumped to a quick 7-2 lead by the end of the first quarter, controlling possession and dictating the pace.
What made the win even more remarkable was the Spartans’ short bench. With only three subs available for the entire game, White Station leaned on their conditioning, communication, and tight-knit team play to weather every challenge Arlington threw at them.
Defensively, the Spartans goalie #33 Karma G. was impressive. K and I counted seven tough saves throughout the game. #74 Lauren P. was relentless with hustle and heart. They both set the tone for this decisive 22- 6 victory.
Despite the loss, the Tigers showed plenty of fight and had stretches of strong play, but simply couldn’t sustain it long enough.
